School Council

Each KS2 class has elected a representative on to our School Council.

Our current reps are:

Year 3 Olivia Fruin  &  Leighton Barker
Year 4 James Green  & Parker Sanderson
Year 5 Jack Fruin  & Alicia Tierney
Year 6 Kodie Nash  & Paddy Murawski

Regular meeting are held on Fridays to share Pupil Voice across the school.

In the Autumn term the children will be helping with some important events in school. They  will be helping to fundraise at our MacMillan Coffee Morning on September 2019, and also organising cake sales for the same event.

They will also be helping to organise a variety of school fundraising events.

In November they will take part in Anti-Bullying activities and help to organise events for Anti Bullying week in our school.

In the Spring term they will be supporting Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 11th  February, by designing posters to be displayed around school!  They will be completing a survey on MFL Spanish on Friday 14th February asking the children what they enjoyed and would like next time. Our Year 5 members have been working with the Kirkby Schools Council on the Kirkby Child project.  They have also worked with the LFC Foundation and the Kirkby Schools Council about issues in our local area. They are keeping busy!  They will also be having a School Council stall on the Community Enterprise Day –  to raise funds for our local community in the Summer Term.

The School Council will also plan exciting activities to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight (Monday 24th February – Friday 6th March 2020) which will include a Fairtrade Coffee morning for Yr 3 and Yr 4 parents/carers. We look forward to our school council taking an active role promoting a whole school awareness campaign on caring for our local and world environment.

Finally, we will be celebrating World Book Day on 5th March 2020 with a variety of activities.

We wish our School Council good luck with these events!
