Year 4

Mrs J Bailey Y4 Class Teacher

Mrs K Tracey Y4 Class Teaching Assistant

Welcome to the Year 4 Page.

Dear Parents/Carers and children,

Your learning is going to be very different this half term as unfortunately we are in lockdown again. It is very important that you collect your child’s work pack each FRIDAY, as it will complement the work that will be given online.

Children who are attending school will do the same work as those who are remote learning. Please ensure that you return the completed work the following Friday, so we can see all the wonderful work the children have done at home. The next work pack can then be collected.

We miss you all already. We will keep in touch with you daily on Seesaw and with your parents/carers weekly by email.

The children will need your support and more importantly your patience to help them complete tasks. If the work proves too difficult then encourage your child to complete as much as they can. If it seems too easy then ask them to do some further research of their own!

Work will appear on Seesaw daily and can be completed on this site. Maths work will appear on Seesaw too supplemented by My Maths. Your child has these logins and are also in the front of their jotters which have been sent home. Please check Seesaw, My Maths and the school website daily. Children will also be encouraged to access Times Table Rock Stars from Y2-Y6.

We have many new exciting topics this half term (see the Overview below) and the work packs sent home weekly will have worksheets to complement the power points and videos that we send you online. Please encourage your child to complete all work set and to read as much as possible choosing from the many exciting books available on Eplatform.

Below is a copy of our weekly timetable that we would encourage you to follow as much as possible.

Please contact us if there are any questions on this, within school hours, and we will try to get   back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support, we hope you are all keeping safe and well.
