Welcome to Year 6!!
Hello and welcome back. I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and would like to wish you a very happy new year.
We have another exciting half term to look forward to. Our new History topic for this half term is continuing with ‘World War 11.
In Science we will be learning about Light.
We will be looking at Graffiti in Art in our topic ‘make my voice Heard’ and using art to express our views and opinions.
In Maths we will be focussing on decimals, fractions and percentages. It is very important that your child knows all of their times tables by now, and the related division facts.
We have a great new book to start which I know the children will enjoy. They will be continuing to write every day, using inspiration from our book. The pupils really love to read and write during our English lessons and are so enthusiastic about their work. I hope this continues throughout the year.
P.E this half term is Hockey and some catch-up swimming lessons to ensure that all of our pupils can swim 25m without stopping before they move on to secondary school.
I am looking forward to a happy and healthy half term.
