Each child at Westvale is treated as an individual. We recognise that any child may have a special need at some time in their school career. It may be that additional help or specific resources are required to support your child’s education. Our Special Needs Co-ordinator, Mrs T Kelly (0151 477 8470), will work closely with the class teacher and yourself to support your child. Our designated Governor with responsibility for Special Educational Needs, Ms L Sheppey, works closely with the school to monitor provision.

In some cases, outside agencies will be involved in assessment and support.  Parents will always be consulted in such cases. If at any time you are concerned about your child’s development, do not hesitate to approach your child’s class teacher. Your concerns will always be dealt with in a sympathetic way.
